IT Director- Matt Martyn
IT Director- Matt Martyn
Matt graduated from Leland and Gray in 1990 and attended the University of Massachusetts at Amherst where he earned his Bachelorโs degree in Music Education.ย He has worked in the Windham Central Supervisory Union since 1995 when he began as the music director at Leland and Gray.ย After earning his Masterโs degree in Information Technology, he moved on to become the Director of Technology where he served until 2016.ย Then, he went on to become the Principal of the Dover School until 2023 when he returned to his roots as the Director of Technology, once again.ย Matt enjoys playing all kinds of musical instruments, motorcycle touring, and most of all, spending time with his family.ย ย

Carrie joined WCSU in 2021 after dedicating fifteen years as a Paraeducator. She brings an unwavering passion for education and a genuine commitment to helping others to every task she undertakes. Whether working behind the scenes to set up assemblies, assisting students and teachers with their everyday technology needs, or meticulously ordering supplies to support the SUโs technological requirements, Carrie is always ready to lend a helping hand with a smile. Her enthusiasm and dedication make her an invaluable asset to the WCSU community.

IT Assistant - Sam Thibault
Sam Thibault is a 2019 Leland and Gray alumni now in his second year at WCSU. During his first year, he gained valuable insights from his peers and developed expertise working alongside WCSU staff and students. Drawing on his BA in Criminal Justice, he deepened his commitment to giving back to the community that raised him, while also cultivating a profound appreciation for the behind-the-scenes work that keeps the district running smoothly.

Marvin Bentley II, a 2001 graduate of Leland and Gray, joined WCSU in 2018 and has since become a cornerstone of our IT team. With a wealth of experience and a commitment to technological excellence, Marvin excels in large-scale projects that drive the district forward. He provides comprehensive IT support, solving complex problems for the entire supervisory union. Known for his innovative solutions and collaborative approach, Marvin ensures seamless technology integration for staff and students alike. Outside of work, he enjoys video games, programming, board game making, and music. He treasures time with his family on their hill in Wardsboro, including his wife, Carrie, and their children, Matt and Marv.

Derek is a seasoned IT professional with over six years of experience in educational environments, specializing in systems administration, network management, and technical support. As the IT Coordinator for the River Valley Unified School District, Derek excels in managing complex IT projects, enhancing network infrastructure, and delivering exceptional technical support. With a robust background in web development from his tenure at Blisstech LLC, he possesses a comprehensive skill set that includes full-stack development, cloud-based management, and server administration. Derek is dedicated to continuous learning and is passionate about leveraging the latest technologies to optimize and advance technological infrastructures.

Data Systems Manager - Samson Sherman
In 2023, Samson relocated from Colorado to Vermont with his family. With over a decade of experience teaching Math and Science, he found new ways to support and empower people working in Education. As the Data Systems Manager, he plays a pivotal role in identifying and measuring critical metrics that enhance student outcomes. His work supports teachers in making data-informed decisions that significantly shape the educational experience we deliver to our community.
